Living with failing teeth isn't just a dental problem

Most patients have been managing this for years.

It changes how you eat. What you order at a restaurant. Whether you smile openly in photos or subtly turn away. It changes how you feel walking into a meeting. Whether you laugh freely or hold back. Whether you feel like yourself — or like someone quietly managing something they're ashamed of.

Patients who come to this practice for full arch rehabilitation are not weak or neglectful. They are people who have been let down —by dentists who kept patching things that needed to be rebuilt, by systems that never gave them a clear path forward, by costs that seemed impossible to navigate.

You deserve a real answer. This page gives you one.

SCENARIO 1

"I've been patching the same teeth for fifteen years."

Root canal. Crown. Another root canal. Another crown. The money spent. The time lost. The nagging feeling that this is never actually going to end.

It doesn't have to.

SCENARIO 2

"I wear dentures and I'm done with them."

The movement. The adhesive. The anxiety about eating something that might dislodge them. The way they cover the roof of your mouth and change how everything tastes. The feeling that they make you look and feel older than you are. There is a fixed alternative.

SCENARIO 3

"My teeth are beyond saving and I know it."

Chronic infection. Loose teeth. Constant pain. You've been told — or you suspect — that extraction is inevitable. You're terrified of what comes after. What comes after can be better than anything you've had in years.

UNDERSTANDING THE TREATMENT

What Full Arch Implant Rehabilitation Actually Is.

Full arch rehabilitation — also known as All-on-4 or All-on-X — replaces an entire set of upper or lower teeth using a small number of strategically placed implants.

Instead of replacing each tooth individually, 4 to 6 implants are placed into the jawbone at angles designed to maximise the existing bone. A full arch of teeth is then attached to those implants — fixed, permanent, and completely stable.

You do not remove them to clean them. They do not move when you eat. There is no plastic on the roof of your mouth. They are teeth. Your teeth.

The name "All-on-4" refers to the original protocol — four implants supporting a full arch. "All-on-X" is a broader term encompassing four, five, or six implants depending on the patient's bone anatomy and clinical requirements.

Both approaches achieve the same outcome:a complete set of fixed teeth in a singlesurgical procedure.

The critical difference between full arch implant rehabilitation and traditional dentures is permanence. Implants stimulate the jawbone the way natural tooth roots do — preventing the bone loss that causes the sunken facial appearance associated with long-term denture wear.
This is not just an aesthetic benefit. It is a significant health benefit.
We don't rush perfection. Here is exactly how this works.

Three phases. One outcome.

Every full arch case follows a structured sequence. Each phase is completed before the next begins — no shortcuts, no overlapping stages.

01

Surgical Foundation

Implants placed + immediate fixed temporary teeth within 24–48 hours of surgery.

Phase I pricing

Single arch from

$19,900

Timeline: Surgery + 24–48 hours for temporaries.

This is the day your life changes. Whether performed under general anaesthetic at Brisbane Dental Anaesthetic Centre (Dormir Group) or under IV sedation in-clinic, your failing or missing teeth are removed and implants are placed in the same procedure.

Within 24–48 hours, you return for your first set of fixed temporary teeth. You leave with a complete, functional, aesthetic set of teeth — screwed onto your implants, going nowhere.

This temporary prosthesis is a 3D-printed high-density provisional that allows you to eat, speak, and smile normally while your bone heals and integrates around the implants.

Precision Stabilisation

This is where most long-term success is built —and where most practices cut corners.

Note
If you need additional time in Phase II for financial or personal reasons, this is completely accommodated. You are never pressured to move to Phase III before you are ready.
We also have patients that stay in there acrylic teeth due to personal preference.

After Phase I, your gums will heal and remodel. The bone around your implants will completeits integration. The tissue architecture will settle into its final position. This takes approximately 3-12 months — and it cannot be rushed.

During this phase, you are transitioned to a Titanium-Reinforced Acrylic Bridge — a stronger, more refined temporary prosthesis mounted on a cross-arch titanium framework for rigidity.

This extended phase is not a waiting period. It is an active refinement period. The decisionsmade here directly determine how well your final ceramic fits, functions, and looks.

Individual implants per tooth become cost-prohibitive when replacing an entire arch. Full arch implant rehabilitation using 4–6 implants to support a complete set of teeth is the most cost-effective, clinically sound approach for patients with full or near-full arch tooth loss.

The number one question we get asked

You won't feel a thing. That is not an exaggeration.

Full arch surgery is performed with complete comfort as the standard — not an option.

OPTION A

General Anaesthetic — Day Hospital

You go to sleep. When you wake up, your surgery is complete.

We operate through the Brisbane Dental Anaesthetic Centre (Dormir Group) — Brisbane'spremier facility for dental surgery under general anaesthetic. Specialist anaesthetists. Fully accredited hospital-grade facility. Maximum patient safety.

This is the option chosen by the majority offull arch patients. There is no awareness, no discomfort, and no memory of the procedure.

Facility fee: up to $15,000 payable upfront. Medicare typically rebates 40–80% the following day — most patients receive $6,000–$12,000 back within 24 hours.

You are collected by a support person and return home the same day.

OPTION B

In Clinic

For patients who prefer not to undergo general anaesthetic, or whose case complexity permits in-clinic surgery.

IV sedation is administered by a qualified sedationist. You enter a deeply relaxed, semi-conscious state. You are aware ofvery little and retain almost no memoryof the procedure.

Priced at $600 per hour of working time. Private health fund rebates may apply.

Local anaesthetic is used in conjunction to ensure complete comfort during the procedure itself.

Making it manageable

Three ways patients fund their treatment.

Superannuation Early Release

Chronic dental pain, inability to eat, or significant oral health conditions impacting general or mental health may qualify you for compassionate early release of superannuation under ATO guidelines.

Many full arch patients access $50,000+ this way. We assist with the application at no charge.

This is often the single most significant financial pathway available to eligible patients.

TLC Payment Plans

Finance from $2,001 to $50,000 through TLC (Total Lifestyle Credit).

No upfront deposit required.Flexible repayment terms.Apply online in minutes.

Combined with a Medicare rebate on GAcosts and health fund contributions, many patients find full arch treatment significantly more accessible than expected.

Staged Treatment Phasing

The three-phase protocol is naturally staged over 12+ months — meaning the financial commitment can be spread across time.

If you need additional time in Phase II before committing to Phase III, this iscompletely accommodated. You are never pressured to proceed before you are ready.

You will always have a fixed, functional, aesthetic set of teeth at every stage.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Answered honestly.

This is the most common concern — and in most cases, the most common misconception.

Bone loss after tooth loss is normal and expected. Most patients who present for full arch rehabilitation have experienced significant bone resorption. The All-on-X protocol is specifically designed to work with the bone that remains, using angulated implants that access denser bone at the back of the jaw to avoid the need for sinus lifts orextensive block grafting.

In cases where grafting is needed, it is included in our all-inclusive pricing.

The only way to know with certainty what is possible for your specific anatomy is a 3DCBCT bone scan. That scan is included free at your consultation.

For a single arch under general anaesthetic, expect 2–3 hours of surgical time in the hospital. For both arches, 3–4 hours.

You arrive at the Brisbane Dental Anaesthetic Centre(Dormir Group) with a support person. After pre-operative assessment, you are sedated by a specialist anaesthetist and the surgery is performed while you are completely asleep.

A well-placed implant with proper maintenance can remain functional indefinitely. The implant post itself — the titanium fixture in the bone — has no biological reason to fail once integrated. The ceramic crown on top typically lasts 15–25 years before replacement may be needed, depending on bite forces and care.

We provide a 5-year structural warranty on our ceramic work. Implant integration is guaranteed — any implant that fails during healing is replaced at no cost.

You return to our clinic within 24–48 hours for your provisional teeth to be fitted. Most patients describe this second appointment as the most emotional moment of the process —seeing fixed teeth in their mouth for the first time in years.

In the first 6–8 weeks after implant placement, a soft diet is required while the implants integrate into the bone. This means no hard, crunchy,or chewy foods during the healing phase.

After integration is confirmed, the dietary restrictions are progressively lifted. By the time your final ceramic prosthesis is delivered, most patients can eat anything they want —including foods they had avoided for years.

The most common comment at this stage:"I forgot what it felt like to eat normally."

Fixed implant prostheses are cleaned similarly to natural teeth — brushing twice daily —with the addition of interdental brushes ora water flosser beneath the bridge to cleanthe gum margin.

We provide a detailed maintenance protocol at your delivery appointment and at each follow-up. There is no complex or burden some cleaning regime. Most patients adapt within a few days.

Implant failure during the osseointegration phase — meaning the bone does not integrate with the titanium — occurs in a small percentage of cases. When it does, the failed implant is removed, the site is allowed to heal, and a new implant is placed.

All implant failures during healing are manage dand replaced at no cost to you. This is included in our all-inclusive pricing as our integration guarantee. You will never receive an invoice for a complication from our work.

Because your gum tissue and bone undergo significant remodelling in the 12 months following clearance. If final ceramics are placed too early, gaps develop between the gum and the prosthesis as the tissue settles —creating an aesthetic and hygienic problem that is difficult and expensive to correct.

The 12-month titanium-acrylic bridge phase allows the tissue to mature fully while we refine the bite, aesthetics, and phonetics over time. The final ceramic is then designed around the stable, mature anatomy —giving it the best possible long-term fit and appearance.

This is not about making you wait. This is about getting it right.

In many cases, yes. Patients with terminal dentition, chronic dental pain, significant infection, or oral health conditions impacting their ability to eat and their general healthand well being may qualify for early compassionate release of superannuation under ATO guidelines.

We assist patients through this process at no charge. Many full arch patients access between $15,000 and $40,000 through this pathway.

Eligibility is assessed individually by the ATO. We cannot guarantee approval but we will guide you through the strongest possible application based on your clinical presentation.

Smoking significantly increases the risk of implant failure. The carbon monoxide in cigarette smoke impairs blood flow to the healing tissue, slowing integration and increasing the likelihood of peri-implantitis.

We will have an honest conversation about this at your consultation. Cessation — even for the 8–12 week healing phase — meaning fully improves outcomes. We will support you with this as part of your treatment planning.

The consultation is completely free. It includes a 3D CBCT bone scan (valued at $500+), high-resolution photography, a full bite and functional assessment, and a written treatment plan with fixed pricing

Due to high demand, if the appointment isn't confirmed prior it will be automatically cancelled.
