Not necessarily. Many patients who have been told they lack sufficient bone for implants go onto receive treatment successfully.
Bone volume does naturally reduce after tooth loss, but techniques including bone grafting and angulated implant placement can often work with the bone that remains. The All-on-X approach, for example, uses strategically angled implants to access denser bone at the back of the jaw, which can reduce or eliminate the need for sinus procedures in many cases.
Whether this applies to your situation depends on your specific anatomy. A 3D bone scan —included free at your consultation — gives us the complete clinical picture. If implants are not a suitable option for you, we will tell you clearly and explain the reasons.
Dental implant pricing varies significantly depending on what is and isn't included.
Many advertised prices exclude bone grafting, 3D imaging, surgical guides, temporary restorations, and laboratory fees — all of which are included in our all-inclusive pricing. When compared ona like-for-like basis, the total cost is often similar or more competitive.
We use Southern Implants and Neodent implant systems — both are among the most extensively researched implant brands in the world, with global clinical data supporting their long-term outcomes. The implant system used does affect the clinical result and long-term reliability.
Your consultation will include a fixed written quote covering everything involved in your treatment. There are no additions after that quote.
In a number of cases, yes. The ATO allows early compassionate release of superannuation for dental treatment where a patient can demonstrate chronic dental pain, inability toeat or chew adequately, or conditions affecting their general or mental health.
We assist patients through the application process at no charge, including preparing the clinical documentation the ATO requires. Eligibility is assessed by the ATO, not by us —but we support the strongest possible application based on your clinical presentation.
Many patients access a meaningful portion of their treatment cost through this pathway.
For full arch cases under general anaesthetic, patients are fully asleep for the procedure.The surgery is performed at the Brisbane Dental Anaesthetic Centre (Dormir Group) by a specialist anaesthetist. Most patients describe waking up and being surprised that it is already over.
For single implant cases or those choosing IV sedation, local anaesthetic ensures the area is thoroughly numb before anything begins. Patients typically feel pressure rather than pain during placement.
Post-operatively, most patients manage with standard pain relief and return to light activity within a few days. All post-operative medications are included in your treatment package.
For full arch rehabilitation cases, temporary fixed teeth are typically placed within 24 to 48 hours of surgery, depending on the specifics of your case. You will not leave the practice without a functional set of teeth in place.
For single implant cases, a temporary restoration is placed during the healing phase. The final ceramic crown is fitted once osseointegration is confirmed — typically at 3 to 4 months, though this varies depending on your individual healing.
Your treatment plan will include a clear timeline specific to your case.
The consultation is completely free. It includes a 3D CBCT bone scan valued at over $500, high-resolution photography, a full clinical assessment, and a written treatment plan with fixed all-inclusive pricing.
Rescheduling with reasonable notice is not a problem. The deposit is retained only in the case of a no-show or asame-day cancellation without notice.
In the event that an implant does not successfully integrate with the bone during the healing phase, a replacement implant is provided at no additional cost to you.
This covers the implant placement itself. It does not cover complications arising from medical conditions that affect healing, non-compliance with post-operative care instructions, or smoking-related complications (which significantly increase implant failure risk and are discussed at consultation).
